Lee will primarily focus on originating and structuring transactions in Korea and other Asian markets.
“Barton has extensive capital markets experience in Korea and across other key markets in Asia, which will significantly add to Yorkville’s bench-strength in Asia,” said Anthony Chan, Managing Director and Head of Asia for Yorkville.
“Having opened our first office in Asia less than six months ago, Yorkville has gained some real momentum. We have already closed two funding deals and continue to grow an experienced team with in-depth knowledge of our priority markets including Greater China, Korea, Japan, Singapore and Australia,” said Philip Ho, Senior Managing Director and Head of International Capital Markets at Yorkville.
Barton Lee was previously Vice President, Global Capital Markets, at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for origination and execution of equity offerings, including initial public offerings, block trades, depositary receipts and convertible bond issuances for Korea and Taiwan.
